Selecting tasks works very much like in Windows Explorer, on which ToDoList was modelled.
Single tasks can be be very easily selected using either the mouse, with the left button, or the keyboard, using the
Selecting multiple tasks is most easily done using both the mouse and the keyboard together, whilst selecting multiple tasks using only the keyboard is much more limited.
1. Using the mouse and keyboard
This method works by holding down none or more modifier keys at the same time as clicking on a task.
<Ctrl>key and click each task of interest to add it to the group
<Shift>key and click the last task in the range
<Ctrl>key and click each additional task of interest to add it to the group
<Ctrl>key and click the first task in the additional range
<Shift>keys and click the last task in the additional range
2. Using the keyboard only
Having selected the first task, now hold down the
<Shift> key and use any of the following navigation keys to add successive tasks to the selection:
