Running at System Startup

ToDoList can be setup to automatically launch when your PC boots-up.


The first thing to do is to find out how to start Any program automatically on your system. In Windows 7/8 the general approach is to open Windows Explorer to see your file system, then go to: _C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup_ If that path doesn't exist then get system-specific info with a search like this and then come back here.

If you don't have a shortcut to ToDoList.exe, create one from the right-click context menu on ToDoList.exe. Copy/paste your ToDoList desktop shortcut to the folder above or its equivalent.

If you are not using the default ToDoList.ini, be sure to modify the Target in the shortcut Properties:

C:\your_install_location\ToDoList.exe -i C:\your_ini_location\ToDoListLive.ini

You may also need to click the Advanced button and then check Run As Administrator.

On the next system restart, ToDoList should execute and then minimize to the task tray. (Preferences may alter display behaviour.)
