Date filters on Android app

Hello, I'm not sure whether or not the Android app is a "live" development? If it is, I can't figure out whether the date filters aren't working, or whether I've misread what they should show?

"Due today" is pulling through way too many tasks - is it selecting items which have a date but aren't ticked in the desktop app? There are items which show as blank due date in the Android app but they're still in the filtered view.

"Start date before today" is a bit of a mixed bag - it has some correct items, but is also missing items which fulfil the criteria.

Any thoughts appreciated - many thanks in advance!

The Android app is a 3rd-party port which (I suspect) is no longer under development.
