Infected web resource?

Post by Tomasz_Osak » Wed Nov 11, 2020 8:02 pm

Hi,
I was trying to update to 8.0.10 version.

ToDoList Web Updater displays:
"There was a problem updating ToDoList at this Time.. " etc.

During updating also message from Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition appeared: "Web Threat Blocked. Infected web resource abstractspoon.pbworks.com/f/todolist_exe.zip."

Hi Tomasz

Unfortunately this is a false positive caused by Bitdefender's imperfect AV heuristics.

I can also do nothing about it at my end except for suggesting that you add an 'exclusion' for it in your AV settings.

To satisfy yourself I would try downloading the update manually and see if Bitdefender still complains...

Manual download was also blocked by Bitdefender. There was an option to exclude. After that the update was successful.
