[SOLVED] Analyze Logged Time : file empty

Post by kiwibe » Mon Apr 29, 2024 10:43 am

Hello,

I just have updated ToDoList to 8.3.
Since that update, I have an issue with the Time Tracker and the report.

If I clic on "Tools > View Task Log File", I see the full list (that is correct).
Exemple for "today" (we are the 29 April) :

But when I clic on "Tools > Analyze Logged Time..." and I choose "29/04/2024" :

I have this message : "There were no tasks found matching the spedified time period".

Is this a bug or something changed ?

Thank you in advance

A simple test works okay for me, so it may be a problem reading the log file.

1. Would it be possible for you to send me an anonymised version of your tasklist (Tools > Anonymise Tasklist), together with an anonymised version of your log file (leave the columns but just delete any identifiable contents)?

2. What version did you upgrade from?

3. How are your Windows Regional Settings configured (it could be a date formatting issue)?

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

I sent the anonymized tasklist and log file by email.
I have upgraded from 8.2.7.0 to 8.3.0.0.

After a test, I confirm the issue is Regional Settings.
I changed it :
- decimal symbol from "," to "."
- group number symbol from "." to " "
- list separator from ";" to ","
And now I can see the log successfully when I use the timer but it is not backward compatible with old logged time.

Unfortunately I can not change these settings forever. We have a GPO in our organization that override the values.
