Perhaps the 'Tools > Export Tasks > Format: Report Builder' would be better - it's a kind of graphical report builder but you have full control over the underlying HTML.

It may still have some issues with custom attributes, but we can work through those like we did before.

You can also access this directly from the 'File > Print' option.
