ToDoList Abbreviating Task Names

For some reason TDL is abbreviating my task names even when there is more than plenty of space to display the full title. This is also apparently not related to task name character length because some task names with more characters than the abbreviated ones are not being abbreviated. Here is the screenshot:

Image

Lines 1, 3 and 5 are all 38 characters long and lines 1 and 3 are getting abbreviated while line 5 is not. Line 4 is 43 characters long and is not getting abbreviated.

ToDoList Version: 8.1.10.0
Windows Version: 21H2 (OS Build 22000.856) Windows 11 Pro

As an owner of two Toyotas, I demand equal Task Title justice! 😁

Are you using a custom font in the task tree?

Not sure what the default is, I'm using Segoe UI 12...

Edit: I changed it to Tahoma 12 and it stopped abbreviating... weird.

Yes, that was the problem with someone else except it was a different font I think.

The problem must be related to the calculation Windows does for the length of a piece of text using a certain font, even though I've never been able to reproduce the issue.

Do you use Font Scaling in Windows (eg. 125%) ?

No scaling, it's at 100%...

If you get this notification @kzen, can you repost a screenshot showing the problem with Segoe UI please?
