Importing tasks to settng the Start Date to today

Post by gmacpro » Sun Sep 01, 2024 6:16 pm

I've included some pictures below to explain what I'm seeing. I realize the 'Reset Creation Date to today' is not the Start Date. Is there a way to import tasks to start today? In my example pictures, all the tasks are to Start on the same day but if they were one day apart can they be imported starting from today's and moving ahead by one day like the Offset Task Date feature?

Please can you repost the unscaled images as attachments...

1. It's more helpful to me to resize the app window instead before taking the screenshot.
2. Images on 3rd-party hosting sites inevitably disappear over time

Your request has been actioned.

Does this feature exist within the app?

Not as an automatic operation, but given that all the imported tasks are selected after importing it's a simple job to manually edit the Start date once and have it apply to all the selected tasks.

If this is a common operation you could also create a UDT like the following example but replacing '-cd' with '-sd'.
