Skipped / Dropped Tasks

Post by aog » Thu Oct 24, 2024 1:05 am

Hi, thanks a lot for the software, I am starting out and am still new to how it works.

Is it possible to somehow mark a task skipped or incompleted without deleting it? Say for example I plan for something but end up dropping it or unable to complete it, but still want to mark that it was "skipped" or "dropped" while still being able for it to be hidden from my list of incomplete tasks but still be in the database so I am aware I planned for it.

Thanks.

Hi @aog

Probably the 'easiest' method would be to create a custom attribute (View > Custom Task Attributes), and then filter on it:

This seems to work, thanks. Also, is there a way to move that custom attribute selection box at the top to a different place? Specifically I want to move it to the right of the "Show" one. Or if possible, could I edit the pre-existing sort boxes to have these new custom ones?

There no option to re-order the filter controls but you can control their visibility via

Code: Select all

View > Task Attribute Visibility

Hi @aog

Just realised that you could also have achieved your goal simply by adding 'Skipped' to your 'Status' droplist and then also filtered them out.
