Task Attribute to show time since task was created? Topic is solved

First of all, I love this tool, it's really great. It shows that the development team took a lot of time and effort to make something so wonderful. Then share it. Thank you for all the work you did to make this product.

Is there a task attribute that can show how long a task has been created for? I mainly use the Task Tree / List views, I would love to see the attribute there. I would think that "time spent" is what I am looking for, but this column is all blank for all my tasks/subtasks. Is that expected? I tried messing with it a little, but it does not make sense to me. I did not find much information on it in the help / wiki / readme either.

Is that the attribute I am looking for? Does it automatically track time spent? I also tried to create a custom attribute, I was going to do subtraction of the created date by current time, but there does not seem to be a current time listed.

Sorry if my question seems odd, as I am sure the estimated / time spent make sense in a Gantt Chart view or some other view.

EDIT: I understand time spent now, and it's not what I am looking for. That seems to be a manual way to track time, one task at a time. I am looking for a way to show how long a task has been alive for automatically. really only looking for the format to be days but am not opposed to conversions. Thoughts?

You can do this in 9.0.
