Custom List Won't Display 'Printed' as a Value

Post by EasyGoingPat » Sat Sep 14, 2019 7:25 am

ToDoList V7.2.13 on Windows 10.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Open Introduction.tdl
  2. Select View | Custom Task List Attributes
  3. Click green '+'.
  4. Use; Data type = 'Text'; Features = 'Filterable, Sortable'; List type = 'Fixed data, single selection'.
  5. Enter the following default data, each on its own line: 'Not Printed', 'Printed', 'N/A'.
  6. Ensure column visibility for the new task attribute is on and that the edit box for the value is visible.
  7. Select any task in the list.
  8. Click the box to choose one of the list values entered above.
  9. 'Not Printed' and 'N/A' display; 'Not Printed' does not display.
Expected behaviour: 'Printed' should display and be selectable in the list.

Modified tasklist and screenshots attached. (Note that the screenshots show my own to-do list but I have checked it can be reproduced on Introduction.tdl.

Kind wishes - Patrick

Thanks for the excellent report Patrick, I'll get on it.

And there's a workaround until I fix it:

1. Open the Custom Attributes dialog
2. Clear the 'Default data' list for 'LEP Status' and OK the dialog (this step is essential)
3. Re-open the Custom Attributes dialog
3. Re-enter the 'Default data' for 'LEP Status' but in the following order:

Printed
Not Printed
N/A

4. OK the dialog
5. Success!

Thanks for that, Daniel. Better than my workaround, which was simply to misspell 'Printed'. :)

You are welcome. And also it's fixed in 7.2.17.
