Forgot Password for Tasklist

I am in a lot of trouble. I have an encrypted tasklist which contains very important information. Is there any way I can retrieve the password which I have forgotten? Please help. Thank you.

Unfortunately the encryption algorithm (not written by me) has no backdoors that I am aware of.

Someone much brighter than me might be able to break the encryption but that's way beyond my skillset.
